Kianna N. Lawson PA-CMPAS received her physician assistant degree from Howard University in Washington DC and completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College with a major in English and minor in Biology. She received her board certification from the National Association of Physician Assistant in 2006 where she obtained the knowledge to handle a variety of illnesses. Mrs. Lawson has specialized in Diabetes for the past 5 years as well as has practiced in family care, internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, endocrinology, gynecology and currently works in Primary Healthcare. 

She has been recognized by the U. S. United Pageant System who recognizes women who are making a difference in the community for outstanding personal, professional and community achievements; promoting academics, health and wellness, self-confidence, self-worth, as well as being a positive role model. She is a member of the illustrious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and has been a long-standing member with the Decatur-Dekalb Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and has been recently elected as the youngest Chapter President for the organization.  She works with the military as a contractor provider, ensuring quality medical care is being given to soldiers in preparation for deployment. She prides herself in watching her students grow and excel. She is continuously giving of her time and always puts patient care first.  

Mrs. Lawson has worked in the healthcare field as a Physician Assistant for fifteen years, in which she continues to mentor students acting as a preceptor for incoming physician assistant & medical students. She is a part of Spelman’s Sister 2 Sister Mentoring Program, The Decatur-Dekalb Legacy Girl Mentoring Program as well as Mentor for the community. Mrs. Lawson likes to live by the motto “When it can’t be done, Do It. For if you don’t do it, then it doesn’t exist.
