Angella Green is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, in the states of Georgia and Oregon . She began her career in health care by working in a comprehensive health clinic of a small community hospital in Manchester Jamaica when she was only 20 years old. Since that time, she has logged nearly forty years of experience in various areas of patient care (Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Advanced Practice Nurse, Community Public Health Nurse, Gerontology Nurse and Nurse Practitioner).
In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Angella also has an outstanding academic background that includes one bachelor’s degrees (BSN in nursing), a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Community Health, Nursing Program , a Certificate in Counseling from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, and a Postmasters Certificate from Georgia State University, Brydine F Lewis School of Nursing.
For many years, Angella observed how many health care professionals often overlook nursing autonomy and the role it may play in their health care management. In order to feel better equipped to address these needs in her work with patients, Angella completed a Postmaster’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner at Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia, 2015.
Angella’s combination of clinical education and experience and her degree in Community Health Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner provide a strong academic foundation for the kind of holistic approach to patients that she feels is critical to good patient care – holistic care that considers not only the physical aspects of a patient’s illness, but the emotional and spiritual aspects as well. She believes that healing and wholeness are matters of body, mind, and spirit.
Angella is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners; the American Association of Nurses; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing; Georgia Board of Registered Nurses, American Diabetes Association and the Cobb, Cherokee Chapter of United Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
